This organization is dedicated to serving the poor through disaster relief, health and community development, vocational training and advocacy. Giving Children Hope distributes millions of dollars each year of life-saving products around the world through partnerships with other non-profits, churches, service organizations and governments. Annually, the organization's goal is to ship over $50 million worth of life-saving supplies to those in need around the world and to serve at least 300 homeless Orange County children with food to last through the weekends. Giving Children Hope has been proud to partner with YL Sunrise Rotary to serve an orphanage in Mexico with medical supplies, get care packages to soldiers in Iraq, and to feed the homeless children in Orange County.
In 2009, St. Jude Hospital of Fullerton, donated a used mobile medical clinic van to the group. YL Sunrise Rotarians provided funding for medical supplies for the care of the underserved and underinsured. More information: www.gchope.org
