The Orange County Sheriff’s Department began providing law enforcement services for the city of Yorba Linda on Saturday, January 5.

The new Yorba Linda Police Services will be responsible for the protection of citizens, the enforcement of laws, and crime prevention. Yorba Linda is the thirteenth city to contract police services with the Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff’s Lt. Bob Wren, the new Chief of Police Services, along with 35 sworn and 4 professional staff members operate from the Arroyo Park station and provide the city with services that include patrol, general and special crime investigation, traffic enforcement, collision investigation, parking enforcement, emergency management, and a crime prevention unit.

“Yorba Linda is one of the safest communities in Orange County,” states Lt. Wren. “As Chief of Police Services, I promise that we will continue to work in partnership with the community to keep the crime rate low and maintain a safe, family-friendly environment.”

The Yorba Linda Police Services station is located in Arroyo Park at 20994 Yorba Linda Boulevard. The public is encouraged to visit the station Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or contact the station directly at (714) 779-7098.

For emergency services, residents should continue to call 9-1-1. For all non-emergency calls, the dispatch number is (714) 647-7000.
